Illuminator:
The Illuminator is perhaps Lancaster James's most important tool. This handheld device sends out beams of various settings, covering the entire electromagnetic spectrum, and then some, interpreting what it sees onto a screen at its top for Lancaster to study. It can give information gleaned from its scans, helping Lancaster to understand whatever he is reading. It also keeps information in storage so he can compare pieces of information from one find to information he finds elsewhere.
